The light changed rapidly as I sat below the Coronado Bay Bridge in a park painting a plein air scene overlooking the harbor on a Saturday morning at the end of summer. The dense fog at first hid everything on the horizon except the sailboats moored nearby and the bridge towering above Although the mist was lifting I choose to keep the scene a reflection of the early morning view.

You can get a sense of my setup, as well as how much the scenery changed over the morning from the photos above. Impressionism is to convey a mood/an essence of a moment - and I hope you enjoy my depiction of a foggy morning looking out at the Coronado Bay Bridge.

As always, I used artist quality oil paints. This 5x7 work is on canvas board.
