Painted at Encinitas Viewpoint Park on Summer Solstice 2022. There were a few seconds of rain that morning, which surprised everyone! Good thing I had my big umbrella.

It was a delight to watch the marine layer mists move away and the town slowly awaken to summer as I painted. That joy is conveyed in the full work.
