Original Impressionist Landscape Oil Painting of tide pools in Southern California.

The tide pools of southern California are a favorite sketching subject of mine. The painting was done in the studio from a number of sketches done plein air. I like to push the colors and use jewel tones that I feel convey the mood best. This original, signed oil painting was inspired by my tide pool sketching sessions.

The painting was completed alla prima work uses deep hues and jewel colors, artist quality oil paints and loose painterly brush strokes, on an 12x16 Belgian archival linen canvas.

The sides are unpainted and the painting is sold unframed.
